Extended Email-Marketing add-on includes all features, required for successful email-marketing. You can test sending a notification in test mode using the example of Abandoned Cart Notification. To do this, in the "Test mode" settings section, check the "Test mode" checkbox and enter your email in the "E-mail for test mode" field (Step 1). Then click the "Save" button in the upper right corner (Step 2), then click on the gear in the same place and select the "Send test notification" (Step 3). Please see the screenshot below.

Please note that in order for many types of notifications to be sent, you need to correctly configure CRON. You can find the commands for setting up CRON in the add-on settings (see screenshot number 3 in the slider below).
